NWTRB’s public meeting on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, will focus on technical lessons learned from the siting and development of geologic repositories in other countries.

The Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board invites applicants for the position of Executive Director. This is a federal Senior Executive position that reports to the Chair of the Board.

On September 30, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board issued a report titled Report to the U.S. Congress and The Secretary of Energy – Board Activities for the Period January 1, 2022 – December 31, 2024.
